DOWNTOWN DENVER – The sky will once again sparkle over the 16th Street Mall this New Year’s Eve with the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Downtown, presented by the Downtown Denver Partnership. Co-sponsors of the display are VISIT DENVER and the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District.

Two spectacular fireworks shows will occur at 9:00 p.m. and Midnight, taking place simultaneously at two undisclosed sites along the 16th Street Mall. It is recommended that viewers stand along the 16th Street Mall for optimal viewing.


The music and fun will also continue at the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park, where a local DJ will perform live at the rink from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Southwest Rink will open at 10:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve and remain open until 11:00 p.m. It will reopen on New Year’s Day at 10 a.m. For more information, please visit www.SouthwestRink.com.

Transportation Information:


All RTD bus and light rail service is FREE on New Year’s Eve from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on January 1st. Please note, between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., RTD light rail trains will NOT cross the 16th Street Mall. The 16th Street Mall Ride shuttles will stop temporarily during the two fireworks shows, and will continue running until 2:00 a.m. For more information on transit schedule changes, and alternative transit options, please visit www.RTD-Denver.com.
